Aubrie was a courageous 14 year old girl, who faced a rare sarcoma cancer, CIC-DUX4. With incredible strength and love. Despite multiple challenges, she remained positive. Always telling her parents "I got this" and fighting for her family. Even when faced with difficult news that her sarcoma had progressed, Aubrie's spirit never wavered.
Her journey was marked by:
Throughout her treatment, Aubrie continued to dream-planning her Quinceanera, thinking about college and finding joy in moments like going to the movies and concerts. Her parent described her as our "sweet girl" who fought hard until the very end. Aubrie passed away May 9th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, and her closest friends. Aubrie truly enjoyed music and concerts. Music helped heal Aubrie's mind and soul. During her chemo, we attended concerts with cautious. My thought for her organization was to build on something she really loved. Having a safe space for kids during chemo. Letting them have a night out on Aubrie. We believe that everyone child going through the most difficult time deserves a safe and comfortable place to enjoy their favorite artist.
Aubrie had her sights set for college, to attend The University of Texas, at Austin to study Psychology. We have joined LULAC Council 4221, League of United Latin American Citizens scholarship program. 2024 we proudly gave 4 scholarships in Aubrie's honor. Application must be submitted directly through LULAC council by March 31, 2025. Visit www.lnesc.org for requirements and more information.
During Aubrie's cancer journey, we were fortunate to receive help through numerous charities. We collectively said as a family once Aubrie finished her treatments we'd give back to those organizations. Sign up for our newsletter to stay informed on upcoming events.
